PE will be on a Thursday and we would be grateful if the children could come to school in PE kits
We will provide the children with toast as a morning snack. We would be grateful if you send in £1.25 a week to cover the cost of this (optional)

BBC Bitesize has lots of online learning with games to do for each subject and lesson ideas.
Twinkl are offering a month free subscription in light of the current situation affecting education. All you need to do is enter the code UKTWINKLHELPS. Hawks Class suggest that you save any resources that you download onto your own home computer hard drive. Twinkl covers all subjects. There are variety of sequenced lessons plans in different subjects that you can download, which will include the resources needed to support the lessons.

English, Reading & Phonics
Phonics Play have made it free to access a variety of phonics resources. The user name and password can be found on the link.
You do not need to leave the house to visit the nearest library. Sign up for an online account and download as many e-books as you can read! Just type in Staffordshire library ebooks into Google.
Oxford Owl has free online reading books for your child to read. There are also questions about the book for your child to answer.
At Rocklands School we follow Letter and Sounds to teach phonics. On the website there is a variety of resources and online games that range from phase 1 to phase 6.
Forest Phonics. A great spelling game to practice phonics sound learnt in class. Choose a spelling pattern and you will be prompted to spell approximately ten words using that spelling pattern. http://www.ictgames.com/mobilePage/literacy.html
Spooky Spellings. A spelling game to learn how to spell tricky words. Choose a year group, then choose bird box to select your word list. Arrange the letters in the correct order to spell each word. The bats will take the letters away when you get it right.

White Rose Maths has prepared a series of 5 maths lessons for each year group. Every lesson comes with a short video showing you clearly & simply how to help your child to complete the activity successfully.

Toy Shop Money Game is a game for helping children understand UK money. There are two game modes; the first where children use coins to make up varying amounts to buy the toys and the second where they work out change.
